Wyoming Finishes 10th at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate

University of Wyoming junior Kamrin Allen tied for 17th place firing a 76 (+4) to earn his fourth top-25 finish of his career on Saturday at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The Cowboys carded a 304 (+16) in the final round of the event hosted by Mountain West foe New Mexico. UW finish tied for 10th place in the highly competitive 15-team field at the UNM Championship Course. Wyoming ended the tournament tallying a 902 (+38) with rounds of 296 (+8), 302 (+14) and 304 (+16).

"I'm thrilled to beat some of the quality teams at this tournament," UW head coach Joe Jensen said. "Overall it was a good effort and a solid finish for our program. I think that we have a good young competitive team."

Freshman Quintin Pope tallied a 79 (+7) on the day, tying for 41st place with a 227 (+11). Freshman Glenn Workman wrapped up play with a 74 (+2) for a three-round total of 229 (+13), tying for 51st place. Sophomore Ryan Wallen shot a 75 (+3) for the third round and tied for 70th with a 234 (+18). Freshman Drew McCullough rounded out UW's team score with a final round of 80 (+8), ending the tournament at 241 (+25).

New Mexico tallied a 295 (+7) in the final round, as the Lobos took the team title with a score of 849 (-15). Texas Tech finished second with a score of 864 (E). New Mexico's Gavin Green won the individual title at 207 (-9).

The Cowboys return to action at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Boulder, Colo.
