The Wyoming Cowboy men's golf teamwill enter Tuesday's final round of the Colorado State Ram Intercollegiatein ninth place out of 15 teams, and UW junior David Hearn will be looking tochallenge for the individual crown when teams tee of at the Fort CollinsCountry Club in Fort Collins, Colo.
Hearn finds himself four shots out of the lead entering the final18-hole round on Tuesday. Hearn posted a two-over par total of 142 through36 holes. The individual leader is Tobias Forsgren of Colorado at two-underpar 138. Colorado also holds the team lead at 561. The Cowboys are tiedwith Alabama for ninth at 591.
After Hearn's 142, the other four Cowboys are bunched together.Mike Urbatchka and Kevin Kayden are tied for 42nd at nine-over 149. ReidLende posted a two-round total of 151, 11 over, and Jacob Hunter shot a12-over par 152.
"David (Hearn), did a good job of adjusting to the greens today andmade some nice putts," said UW men's golf coach Roger Prenzlow. "All theguys played fine tee to green, but other than David, our other four playersdidn't make a lot of putts.
"We can still come away from this event with a positive finish, butwe have to do a better job of adapting to the conditions and making betterreads on the greens."
The third and final round will be played on the Fort Collins CountryClub course on Tuesday, Sept. 28. The Fort Collins Country Club coursemeasures 6,924 yards and plays to a par of 71
