What is your favorite move in wrestling?
"My favorite move right now is a `high crotch'. I've been working a lot on it; post high crotch and it's probably my go-to shot."

How do you mentally prepare for a match?
"I've been wrestling a long time, so the mental preparation comes pretty naturally. I get a good warm-up in and a good sweat in and then I'm ready to go. I've been wrestling for such a long time that it just comes natural."

In your second year with the program and you being a redshirt freshman, talk about your role on the team?
"Well, my true freshman year, I didn't really have much of a role; I kind of just went with the flow and hung out with the other freshmen. Now that it's my second year, I'm trying to take on more of a leadership role; especially with the younger guys. I'm just trying to let them know that they're a big part of the team, even though they may not feel like it."

What CD is in your car right now?
"Uh, I actually took it out to put in the wrestling room, but it was a mix of some Tom Petty and some John Cougar; I'm not into rap really."

What do you usually eat after weigh-ins?
"Well, you'd like to think that we can eat anything we want, but we still have to wrestle, so I try to get a little Gatorade and some water in me. You can't eat that much because your stomach isn't ready for it. After the tournament, I can gorge a little bit. I'm really a sucker for milkshakes."

Talk about your relationship with your brother and what it's like having him as a coach?
"He's definitely harder on me because I think he expects more out of me than he does of others. It's okay with me because I expect more out of myself than most do. I can definitely feel the pressure when I'm wrestling because I know he's disappointed with me when I lose, but also extremely excited for me when I win. I think I'm a better wrestler for having him in my corner."

Who would you say is the clown on the team?
"Oh...I might be the clown on the team, I don't know. We don't really have anybody that has that role of always cracking jokes. I guess Carter Downing; he's pretty funny. My brother is actually really funny. He probably makes me laugh more than anybody else. Carter and my brother are probably the two clowns on the team."

If you could be an animal, what animal would you be?
"An animal? Um, I don't really know. I'm really enjoying being a human actually."

Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie?
"Jennifer Aniston."

What is your best memory thus far wrestling for the Cowboys?
"I would say when I won my match at this year's home opener against Oregon. I wrestled really well and it was a senior that I was wrestling from the U of O. It was a big match that could have, hopefully, allowed us to win the dual, so it was just a big deal for me because the guy was a senior and I was still a red shirt freshman."
