Wyoming and Portland State weretied at four after two matches, but the Cowboys won the next threematches for a 19-4 lead on their way to winning 37-7.
Wyoming won eight of the ten matches in dominating the Vikings of thePac-10. Two wins at 165 and 174 established a sizable lead for Wyomingwhen Jeremy Sell won by fall at 1:47 and Brandon Dansie earned a pin at5:30 to give the Cowboys a 19-4 lead, one they would never surrender.
The closest Portland State got was 19-7, but Wyoming won the final fourmatches for the rout. Craig Rumsey won by fall in the 197-pound weightclass, pinning Randy Davidson at 4:24. Cisco Gonzales (125) defeatedZac Enoch at 125 15-9 and #15 Corey Hamrick (133) defeated John Fasanaat 8-5 to close out the dual victory for Wyoming.
In the first match of the night senior Shay Wyman (141) defeated J.T.Horner 16-2 for a major decision victory, giving Wyoming a 4-0 lead.Brian Wood (157) defeated Ron Holyoak 9-5 in the third match, breaking a4 all tie.
"It was an encouraging victory," said Steven Suder, Wyoming headwrestling coach. "Some of our guys were firing on all cylinders andsome of us weren't, that is something we need to work on. We'll get infigured out and be okay.
"Next week we will have a couple of big tests," said Suder. "Fullertonhas a couple of real studs, while Bakersfield is a top 15 team. Thosewill be some really good test of our guys."

The Cowboys will be back in action on Feb. 11 and Feb. 12 when theydual with Cal.-State-Bakersfield and Cal. State-Fullerton on the road.The next home dual of the year is the last one for the Cowboys when theytake on Air Force Feb. 18 in Laramie.
