February 15, 1999

LARAMIE, Wyo. - On Saturday, Feb. 13, the University of Wyoming Cowboy wrestlers hosted Boise State University, ranked #28 in the country, for a dual. Despit several good wins by Wyoming, the Broncos still won the dual by a score of 25-15. Wyoming fell behind 13-0 after losing the first three matches of the night. But UW came fighting back to cut the lead to 13-9 after Steve Schenk and Craig Rumsey each won. Schenk won 10-3 and Rumsey pinned Cash Edwards at 6:01. But each team went on to win two matches each and Boise State escaped with a win. Chris Walker (133) defeated his opponent 7-6, gaining the last point on riding time. And Kelly McConville continued his recent surge with a 2-0 decision. After struggling early, McConville has battled back and has an overall record of 12-12.
