The Wyoming wrestling teamdefeated UC-Davis 26-9 in Laramie tonight. The Cowboys jumped out to a14-0 lead and never looked back, coasting to the victory.
Wyoming won the first four matches in gaining the lead 14-0. UC-Daviswon the 184-pound match and earned a forfeit at heavyweight to cut thelead to 17-9. But Wyoming won the last three matches to notch thevictory. The Pokes are now 2-0 on the season.

"I thought we wrestled pretty well," said Steven Suder, University ofWyoming head wrestling coach. "We've been working on some things thatare real critical, things that we need to do. We started to do some ofthose things tonight. Those areas are intensity during a match and ourwork ethic. That's really encouraging.
"We won some matches that earlier in the season we had been losing. Acouple of matches could have gone either way, but we found a way to winthem. Now they know we can win those matches. That is a realconfidence booster for those guys."
The next action for the Cowboys is Dec. 19, when they compete in threeduals. The Pokes will dual with Wisconsin, Missouri and CentralMissouri in St. Louis, Mo.
