Searching for its first win since the season opener, the University of Wyoming wrestling team plays host to the Cal Poly Mustangs this week in the final non-conference dual of the year.

The details
Wyoming (1-6 overall) will battle Pac-12 member Cal Poly (3-3 overall) in a non-conference clash Friday night. Matches will begin at 7 p.m. from the UniWyo Sports Complex. The dual will serve as the last non-Western Wrestling Conference dual of the season for the Pokes.

It's also Family Friday - fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four Pepsi drinks for just $20.

A look at the Cowboys
The Cowboys hope to get back to their winning ways and will battle for their second victory of the year. Four UW competitors are nationally ranked this week, including junior Tyler Cox (eighth at 125 pounds), junior Dakota Friesth (18th at 165), redshirt freshman Benjamin Stroh (16th at 184) and junior Shane Woods, who is 24th at 197.

A look at the Mustangs
Cal Poly boasts wins over Menlo College, San Francisco State and CSU Bakersfield this year, along with losses to Cal Baptist, North Dakota State and Boise State. One Mustang is ranked in the national polls with Devon Lotito, rated 19th at 133.

Last time/series history
In the most recent meeting, UW won a 34-6 contest over Cal Poly on Jan. 6, 2013, in San Luis Obispo, Calif., as part of the Mustang Duals. The Pokes are 2-4 versus Cal Poly all-time, with both wins coming in the last two seasons.
