Six players finished the night in double-figures leading the Wyoming basketball team (13-14 overall, 6-11 MW) to 23-point victory, 80-57, over the UNLV Lady Rebels (15-13 overall, 8-9 MW) on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Marquelle Dent led the way with a team-high 16 points and nine assists. With those assists, she surpassed the 500 mark and has 502 for her career. Sophomore Natalie Baker recorded 13 points and four rebounds. Freshman Marta Gomez, sophomore Liv Roberts and sophomore Skyler Snodgrass each had 12 points followed by junior Hailey Ligocki with ten. Roberts finished with ten rebounds for her second double-double of her career. The Cowgirls shot 29-of-55 (.527) from the field and 10-of-25 (.400) from beyond the arc.

"Extremely pleased for this team. They have had a rough go this season but one thing that's never wavered is their effort," UW head coach Joe Legerski said. "I thought today it seemed like a great deal of the frustration over the last two months was released by everyone. To have six players in double-figures, shoot over 50 percent, Liv (Roberts) with a double-double, Marquelle (Dent) with one assist shy says a great deal. Started out sluggish probably with all the emotion surrounding senior day, giving up 16 points in the first four minutes. Skyler (Snodgrass) gave us a big lift in the second quarter when we needed someone to shoot the ball against their zone. The score is very deceiving, it was only six points headed into the final quarter, and we needed to step up and make plays. I thought our tempo had an effect in getting to the basket, attacking and getting easy shots."

UNLV was led by Brooke Johnson with a game-high 18 points. Aley Rohde finished with ten points and 11 boards followed by Dakota Gonzalez with ten points. The Lady Rebels shot 22-of-63 (.349) from the field and 8-of-15 (.625) from three.

Out of the break, the Cowgirls increased the lead to double-figures, 56-46, with a 19-12 run with 2:39 left in the third. UNLV scored the final six of eight to cut into the deficit making it 58-52 headed into the fourth. Wyoming responded with a 22-5 run in the fourth quarter to go on to the 80-57 victory. The Cowgirls shot 7-of-13 (.538) from the field and 14 points in the paint.

UNLV built an early 10-5 lead to begin the game. A jumper by Campbell got the Cowgirls back in the scoring column which was answered with an 8-5 run to increase the lead to six, 18-12. A couple of baskets to close out the quarter made it 18-16. Wyoming opened up the second frame on a 16-4 run to take a double-digit advantage, 32-22. The Lady Rebels scored the next seven of nine to close the gap to five, 34-29. A three by Gomez ended the run and would take a 37-34 lead into the locker room.

Snodgrass led the way for the Cowgirls with nine points off the bench. Baker and Dent each added seven points while Roberts brought down five rebounds. UW shot 14-of-30 (.467) from the field and 7-of-18 (.389) from beyond the arc. UNLV was led by Gonzalez and Johnson with ten points while Rohde had five rebounds. The Lady Rebels shot 13-of-33 (.394) from the field and 5-of-7 (.714) from three.

Wyoming will play its final conference game of the season on Tuesday against the San Jose State Spartans. The game is set to tip at 8 p.m. MT in San Jose.
