Cowgirl Basketball Defeats Uppsala (Sweden)

The Cowgirls opened up their exhibition season victorious with a win on Nov. 2, against the Uppsala (Sweden) All-Stars, 74-43.

The Cowgirls were led in scoring and rebounding by sophomore forward Lisa Glasser, who had 23 points and 20 rebounds. Glasser was 11 for 16 from the field, and also had two assists and two steals.

Senior center Rebecca Tomlin contributed 13 points and five rebounds in 15 minutes of action. As far as newcomers, freshman forward Carrie Bacon added 13 points and six rebounds to lead all players off the bench. Freshman guard Molly Marso had a team high six assists and six steals.

The Cowgirls shot 53% (17/32) from the field in the first half, and were 46% (31/67) for the game.
