Jodi Bolerjack had 11 points for the Cowgirls (10-1).
Danielle Hagen led Northern Colorado (5-5) with eight points.
Wyoming, which opened up an early 15-7 lead, went on a 15-4 run to end the first period ahead 33-19. The Cowgirls outscored the Bears 26-4 to open the second half.
They took a 59-23 lead before head coach Joe Legerski sat Zavecz the final 10 minutes of the game.
The Bears turned the ball over 28 times compared with 14 times by the Cowgirls.
"Tonight I think our senior leadership was a big key," said UW head coach Joe Legerski. "We are through with finals and have a couple of games to go before we go on a break, so as a team you need to stay focused. I think with our older players they wanted to set the tempo and finish out strong. I thought Jodi and Hanna started out the game looking to shoot the basketball, which is important for us. Also, Rebecca Vanderjagt gave us a huge lift. Her size in the zone creates some things for us."
Wyoming will play their final game before the holiday break on Wednesday, December 19, against the Westminster College Griffins. The game is set to tip off at 7:00 p.m.
The Cowgirls shot 21-48 (.438) from the field and 18-27 (.667) from the free throw line.
