The Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball team will be at home for their second game in a row against the UNLV Lady Rebels, on Wednesday, January 23. The game is set to tip off at 7:00 p.m. in the Arena Auditorium. UW is currently ranked 18th in the Associated Press Poll and 19th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.

Wyoming is currently 16-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play after a 65-49 victory over the San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday afternoon. Senior Hanna Zavecz leads the way for UW with 15.4 points and 3.9 assists, which ranks fourth in the Mountain West Conference. She is followed by fellow senior Justyna Podziemska who is adding 12.1 points and 5.4 rebounds, while Aubrey Vandiver is chipping in 11.1 points and a team leading 6.5 rebounds per game. The Cowgirls are leading the MWC in scoring defense allowing just 52.2 per contest. They are also shooting .424 (375-884) from the field, .327 (114-349) from beyond the arc and .695 (226-325) from the free throw line.
UNLV is currently 6-10 overall and 2-1 in the MWC. They had the weekend off prior to playing the Cowgirls. UNLV is led by Sequoia Holmes, who is averaging a league leading 19 points, along with 7.2 rebounds. She is followed by Shamela Hampton with 11.6 points and seven rebounds and Dominique Harris with seven points off the bench. They return four starters and six letterwinners to a team that went 14-15 overall and 8-8 in the MWC a year ago. This is the 26th meeting between the two schools. UNLV leads the series 17-8. The last time the two teams met was February 10, 2007 as the Cowgirls defeated the Lady Rebels 85-59 in Laramie. UNLV is coached by Regina Miller who is in her tenth season with the program.
