The Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball team will head back out on the road to close out the week as they travel to Fort Collins to take on the Colorado State Rams, on Saturday, January 24. The game time is set for 12 p.m. in Moby Arena.

The Cowgirls will enter this game with an 8-9 overall record and 0-4 in Mountain West Conference play after a disappointing 81-78 loss to TCU on Wednesday night. Sophomore Hillary Carlson led the way with a career high 27 points and ten rebounds, while Kristen Scheffler recorded 12 points and Megan McGuffey chipped in 11.
Four Cowgirls are scoring in double-figures so far this season led by senior Megan McGuffey with 11.8 points per game. Kristen Scheffler follows with 10.8 points, while Hillary Carlson has jumped to averaging 10.4 points and Emma Langford is adding 10.1 points per game. McGuffey also leads the way with 6.4 rebounds per contest.
McGuffey ranks 11th in rebounding and 12th in scoring in the league, while Scheffler leads the league in three-point field goals made (2.65 tpfgm), while being ranked 19th in scoring.
CSU comes into the game with a 7-11 overall mark and a 2-3 record in the MWC this season. Kandie Beemer leads the way with 8.5 points and 2.2 rebounds, while Amaka Uzomah is the leading rebounder with 6.9 boards.
They return three starters and seven letterwinners to a team that went 4-28 overall and 0-16 in the MWC a year ago. This is the 78th meeting between the two teams. Colorado State leads the series 40-37. The last time the two teams met was February 27, 2008 as the Cowgirls defeated CSU 68-46 in Laramie. Colorado State is coached by Kristen Holt who is in her first season at the helm.
