This Week: The Cowgirls will be on the road against San Diego State onThursday night at 8:00 p.m., and then UNLV on Saturday night at 8:35p.m.

About San Diego State: The Cowgirls will face the San Diego State Aztecson Thursday night in California. The Aztecs are currently 10-8 overalland 2-3 in conference play. They are led by junior forward TanishaKnight, who is averaging 10.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest. Thisis the 18th meeting between the two schools, San Diego State leads theseries 12-5. The last time these two teams met was March 2, 2000 inLaramie, with the Cowgirls coming out on top, 63-55. The Aztecs arecoached by Barb Smith, who is in her third season.

About UNLV: In the second game of the weekend, the Cowgirls will facethe UNLV Rebels. The Rebels currently have an 13-4 overall record and a3-2 conference mark. They are led by junior Linda Frohlich, who isaveraging 18.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest. This is the 11thmeeting between the two schools, UNLV leads the series 6-4. The lasttime these two teams met was March 4, 2000 in Laramie, with the Rebelscoming out on top, 96-81. The Rebels are coached by Regina Miller, whois in her third season at UNLV.
