The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will play their second straight home game as they host the San Diego State Aztecs, on Wednesday, Feb. 10. The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. in the Arena Auditorium.

The Cowgirls will enter the game with a 14-7 overall record and a 5-4 mark in conference play after a 17-point victory, 69-52, over Colorado State last Saturday. Three Cowgirls are scoring in double-figures so far led by junior Hillary Carlson who is averaging a team leading 15.2 points and 2.6 blocks per game. She is followed by fellow junior Aubrey Vandiver with 13.5 points and a team leading 9.5 rebounds per game, while Emma Langford is adding 11.7 points and 3.4 assists.
Carlson ranks first in blocks and fourth in scoring while being ranked third in field goal percentage and fifth in free throw percentage in the Mountain West Conference. Vandiver ranks among the Top 15 in points, rebounds, steals, field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage while Langford is 12th in assists and 14th in scoring.
The Aztecs are currently 14-7 overall and 6-3 in the MWC after a 65-58 loss against New Mexico last time out. San Diego State is led by Jene Morris who is averaging 15.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. Jessika Bradley is averaging a team high seven rebounds, while adding 8.3 points per game.
They welcome back four starters and ten letterwinners to a team that went 24-8 overall and 13-3 in the MWC a year ago. This is the 39th meeting between the two teams. Wyoming leads the series 21-17. The last time the two teams met was January 9, 2010 as the Aztecs defeated the Cowgirls 65-50 in San Diego. SDSU is coached by Beth Burns who is in her 13th season with the program and her 18th overall.
