    In their only game of the week, the Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will host the Utah Utes, on Wednesday, February 16. The game is set to tip off at 7:00 p.m. in the Arena Auditorium. Live stats can be followed or audio can be found on

    Wyoming is currently 18-6 overall and 8-3 in conference play after a 65-54 loss against the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday in Fort Worth. Aubrey Vandiver is averaging a team leading 18.4 points and 9.1 rebounds, while Hillary Carlson is adding 17.1 points and 7.2 boards per contest. The Cowgirls are shooting .438 (564-1289) from the field, 178-486 (.366) from beyond the arc and 283-413 (.685) from the charity stripe.

    Vandiver is among the Top 12 in points, rebounds, assists, minutes played, field goal and three-point percentage. Carlson ranks second in blocked shots, third in scoring, fourth in field goal percentage and eighth in rebounding in overall games. Senior Jade Kennedy is second in minutes played, assist/turnover ratio and eighth in assists. In league games, Carlson is second in scoring and blocked shots, fifth in field goal percentage and sixth in rebounding. Vandiver is first in scoring, third in rebounding and minutes played plus seventh in field goal percentage.

    The Utes are currently 12-13 overall and 5-6 in the MWC after a 61-58 loss against BYU on Saturday afternoon. They are led by Iwalani Rodrigues who is averaging a team leading 14.2 points plus three rebounds. She is followed by Michelle Plouffe who is adding 13.7 points and a team leading with 7.4 rebounds. They return two starters and eight letterwinners to a team that went 23-12 overall, 10-6 in the MWC and moved into the second round of the WNIT Tournament.

    This is the 69th meeting between the two schools. Utah leads the series 59-9. The last time the two teams met was January 15, 2011 as the Cowgirls defeated Utah, 55-48, in Salt Lake City. Utah is coached by Anthony Levrets who is in his first season as the head coach.
