Carrie Bacon Earns All-WAC Honors

Freshman forward Carrie Bacon (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was named to the 1999 Western Athletic Conference Mountain Division All-WAC Second Team, and the All-Newcomer Team. Bacon led the Cowgirls in scoring this season, averaging 14.6 ppg, as well as leading the team in steals at 1.8 spg and blocked shots .7 bpg. She finished eighth in the WAC in scoring, 15th in rebounding, ninth in field goal percentage, 12th free-throw percentage, and 18th in steals and blocks.
