Wyoming head women's basketball coach Joe Legerski announced on Friday the addition of Jasmine Davis to this year's recruiting class. Davis comes from Sheridan College where she spent the last two seasons. She will have three years of eligibility remaining due to sitting out her freshman season because of an injury.
"We have been following Jasmine's career for the past two years at Sheridan College," said Legerski. "We are pleased to add a talented player and once again we have strengthened our team."
Jasmine Davis, Petone, Wellington, New Zealand (Sheridan College): An All-North Region IX team selection while attending Sheridan College. She started in all 31 games while averaging 10.3 points, six rebounds and 3.5 assists per game during this past season. Davis helped the Lady Generals to a 22-9 overall record and a 13-3 conference mark on their way to a Region IX North Sub-Region title. They finished 21st in the final NJCAA national rankings. Prior to that, she attended Sacred Heart College in New Zealand. She was a two-time College Sport Wellington and Sacred Heart Basketball Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009. She was also a member of the New Zealand National Under 16, 18 and Junior Tall Ferns teams. Davis is the daughter of Eddie and Esther Davis. She has one sibling, Annique.
