The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will open up the 2011-12 regular season this weekend before heading out on the road for one game. They will host the Utah State Aggies, on Friday, Nov. 11, and then face the Denver Pioneers, on Monday, Nov. 14, in Denver. Both games are set to begin at 7:00 p.m. Prices for the game on Friday night are $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children (ages three through 18). The Cowgirls went 2-0 during the exhibition season after a 67-46 victory over the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves and a 15-point win, 61-46, against the Western State Mountaineers. Four Cowgirls finished the second exhibition game in double-figures led by true freshman Kaitlyn Mileto with 14 points. Kaylee Hoffman had 13 points, while two other players recorded ten points each.

They return three starters and ten letterwinners to a team that went 18-15 overall and 10-6 in the Western Athletic Conference a year ago.
This is the 19th meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 14-4. The last time the two teams met was December 23, 2010 as the Cowgirls downed the Aggies, 80-50, in Logan. Utah State is coached by Raegan Pebley who is in her ninth season with the program.
Wyoming will head out on the road for the first time as they face the Denver Pioneers, on Monday, Nov. 14. The Pioneers are 1-0 in the exhibition season and will play Loyola Marymount before taking on the Cowgirls. They return three starters and seven letterwinners to a team that went 19-12 overall and 11-5 in the Sun Belt Conference a year ago.
This is the 19th meeting between the two teams. Wyoming leads the series 15-3. The last time the two teams met was Nov. 12, 2010, as they Cowgirls defeated DU, 64-58, in Laramie. Denver is coached by Erik Johnson who is in his fourth season with the program.
