Cowgirl Basketball Tabs One Student-Athlete

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

University of Wyoming Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski today announced the signing of one student-athlete, Kaylee Hoffman, to attend the University of Wyoming beginning in the fall of 2010.

"We are pleased to add Kaylee Hoffman to the Wyoming basketball program," said Legerski. "She has great size and plays with a great deal of intensity, while providing depth at the guard line."

Kaylee Hoffman, 5-10, Guard, Hays, Kan. (Thomas More Prep-Marian):
A three-time First Team All-League selection while attending Thomas More Prep-Marian High School. She was also selected First Team All-Area by the Hutchinson News and Hays Daily News. As a junior, Hoffman was a First Team All-State selection while helping her team to a 21-1 record overall and the runner-up spot in the 3A State Championship. She averaged 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists during that time. She was selected to several All-Tournament teams during the past couple of years. Besides lettering in basketball, she also earned letters in softball and volleyball. In softball, she earned First Team All-State, All-League and All-Area honors three times, while helping her team to two state championships in 2007 and 2008. During her sophomore and junior years, she was selected First Team All-League in volleyball. An excellent student, she is a member of the President's Honor Roll, while being involved in several scholastic activities. Kaylee is the daughter of Thomas and Deb Hoffman, and has a sister, Whitney.
