The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will close out the week at home as they host the Chadron State Eagles, on Thursday, Nov. 17. The game is set for 7:00 p.m. in the Arena Auditorium. Prices for the game on Thursday night are $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children (ages three through 18). Students with their i.d. can get in the game for free. The Cowgirls are currently 0-2 on the young season with a 62-56 loss against Utah State last Friday, and a 74-49 loss against the Denver Pioneers on Monday night. Wyoming is led by junior Ashley Sickles with 10.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. She has recorded double-figures in both games this season. Kayla Woodward and Kaitlyn Mileto follow with 8.5 points per contest, while Woodward leads the team in rebounding with six per game. As a team, they are shooting 35-102 (.343) from the field and 11-37 (.297) from beyond the arc.
The Eagles come into this week's game with an 0-1 overall record after a 77-50 loss against Montana State Billings. They return four starters and nine letterwinners to a team that went 6-20 overall and 4-18 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference a year ago.
This is the ninth meeting between the two teams. Wyoming leads the series 8-0. The last time the two teams met was December 17, 2005, as they Cowgirls defeated Chadron State, 75-39, in Casper. The Eagles are coached by Tim Connealy who is in his fourth season with the program.
