Cowgirl Basketball Adds Another Student-Athlete

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

University of Wyoming Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski today announced the addition of Fatima Thiam to attend the University of Wyoming beginning in the fall of 2011.

"We are excited to add Fatima to the Wyoming basketball family," said Legerski. "Her size and athletic ability provides a dimension to our program that will help us in years to come."

Fatima Thiam (Fáte ma Chaum) , 6-6, Center, Dakar, Senegal (Lycee Galandou Diouf): Fatima Thiam comes to Wyoming after a high school career at Lycee Glandou Diouf in Dakar, Senegal. Thiam is the daughter of Amadou Lamine Thiam and Ndeye Sar. Both of her parents played basketball for the Senegalese National Team. Thiam can speak three languages including English, French and Wolof (a native language of Senegal). Her brother Djibril currently plays for the Cowboy basketball team.
