The Wyoming women's basketball team continues its three-game homestand Friday night by welcoming the Denver Pioneers. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. MT. Live stats, audio and video can be found on the women's basketball Gameday Central page located on GoWyo.com.

The Cowgirls enter Friday's contest with a 1-0 mark after an impressive 104-29 victory over Western State on Monday night in their season opener. All 12 Cowgirls got in the scoring column led by senior forward Kayla Woodward. She recorded 17 points while shooting 5-of-8 from the field in 18 minutes of play. Junior guard Marquelle Dent finished with 16 points, while freshmen forwards Bailee Cotton and Marleah Campbell each had 12 points. Cotton recorded a team-high nine rebounds. Wyoming shot 36-of-68 (.559) from the field and 11-of-27 (.407) from beyond the arc. The Cowgirls outrebounded the Mountaineers 51-32 and had 26 assists on 38 field goals.
The Pioneers are 0-1 this season after a 60-58 loss against Hawai'i in their first game out. They are led by junior forward Paige Bradley who scored 18 points and recorded six rebounds in that contest. Senior guard Morgan Van Riper-Rose finished with 11 points followed by Jacqlyn Poss with ten points. They return three starters and seven letterwinners to a team that went 9-23 overall and 5-9 in the Summit League a year ago.
This is the 23rd meeting between the two teams. Wyoming leads the series 18-4. The last time the two teams met was Nov. 12, 2013, as UW defeated the Pioneers, 73-70. Denver is coached by Kerry Cremeans who is in her third season with the program.
