Cowgirl Basketball Tries To Get Back On Winning Track Against Maryville

The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will host the Maryville University Saints, on Saturday, Dec. 10. The game is set for 2:00 p.m. in the Arena Auditorium. Live stats or audio can be found on

The Cowgirls are currently 1-6 on the season after a 69-59 loss against Montana on Saturday night. Wyoming is led by junior Chaundra Sewell with a team leading 11.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Ashley Sickles follows with 11.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. As a team, they are shooting 130-372 (.349) from the field and 31-135 (.230) from beyond the arc.

The Saints are 2-4 overall this season and 0-2 in conference action. They lost to Drury University, 86-84, last time out. Maryville is led by Abby Duethman who is averaging 14.5 points and 7.3 rebounds. She is followed by Shelby Miller who is adding 9.7 points and 2.7 boards. They went 11-15 overall and 6-12 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference a year ago. This is the first meeting ever between the two teams. Maryville is coached by Chris Ellis.
