    The Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball team continues play at home as they take on the Westminster Griffins, on Saturday, Dec. 11. The game is set for 2:00 p.m. in the Arena Auditorium. Live stats can be followed or audio can be found on

    Wyoming is currently 5-2 on the season after earning a 68-55 win over the Idaho Vandals on Saturday. Hillary Carlson is leading the way with 15.9 points and 8.6 rebounds, while Aubrey Vandiver follows with 15.8 points and 8.7 rebounds. The Cowgirls are shooting .397 (151-380) from the field and 94-133 (.707) from the charity stripe.

    The Griffins are 12-2 overall and led by Michelle Pace who is averaging 14.4 points and 5.9 rebounds. She is followed by Nicole Yazzie who is adding 11.2 points and 3.8 rebounds. They return three starters and nine letterwinners to a team that went 27-7 overall and 13-1 in conference play a year ago.

    This is the second meeting between the two schools. The last time the two teams met was Dec. 19, 2007 as the Cowgirls defeated the Griffins, 73-35, in Laramie. Westminster is coached by JD Gustin who is in his seventh season with the program.

    For this Saturday's game versus Westminster, it is Youth Day. Sixth grade and under students can receive FREE admission in to the game with a paid regular adult ticket but they must be purchased by noon on Saturday.
