The Wyoming basketball team will travel to Rock Springs to face the Montana Western Lady Bulldogs in an exhibition game before starting conference play next week. The game will take place at Rushmore Gymnasium on the campus of Western Wyoming Community College, Thursday, December 30, at 7:00 p.m. This is a part of UW's ongoing efforts to showcase its programs to the entire state of Wyoming.Live audio can be found on www.wyomingathletics.com.
Wyoming is currently 9-3 on the season after a double-figure victory, 80-30, over the Utah State Aggies last time out in Logan. Hillary Carlson is leading the way with 18.5 points and 7.4 rebounds, while Aubrey Vandiver follows with 17.3 points and 10.1 rebounds. The Cowgirls are shooting .419 (278-664) from the field, 89-246 (.362) from beyond the arc and 143-199 (.719) from the charity stripe.
Montana Western is currently 4-8 overall. The Lady Bulldogs are led by Chloe Mosey who is averaging 12.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest. They return several key players to a team that went 8-20 overall and 4-10 in conference play a year ago. They are coached by Cara Cocchiarella.
All tickets are $12 for Adults and $6 for Youth, which is general admission. Tickets are on sale at the doors on Gameday if available. This is not included with the season ticket package.
