"Alison (McGuire) played very consistently on Monday," said UW women's golf coach Jill Rettinger. "She played solid both rounds. Katherine (Crowley) shot her best round of the season in the opening round with a 75. She slipped back some in the second round with an 83, but Katherine is within three strokes of the Top 10 heading into the final round. Both her and Alison really have an opportunity to have a great tournament."
Wyoming's other three individuals were within two strokes of each other. Freshman Shala Hanson tallied a 164. Sophomore Ashley Cariveau was one stroke back at 165, and junior Kim Nissen totalled 166 on the first day.
The third and final round of the Inland Empire Intercollegiate will be played Tuesday at the Downriver Golf Course in Spokane, Wash. The course measures 5,881 yards and plays to a par of 72.
