"I am very pleased with our solid, all around team effort today," Cowgirl coach Josey Stender said. "The course played very different and more difficult in the afternoon so it was great to see them hang in there."

Castillo followed her career-round with a 79 (+7) in the afternoon, as sophomore Gabrielle Gibson jumped 32 spots to finish the day tied for eighth with a score of 151 (+7). Gibson shot a 79 (+7) first-round score before closing out the day with a 72 (E). "This team has worked very hard and believed in themselves all year long through the ups and downs," Stender added. "We will need to focus on our process and approach the course for what it is tomorrow and not how it played today."
