The tournament's individual leaders are Lynette Duran of Colorado State and Sarah Sasse of Nebraska, who are tied at six-under par 138.
"For the first tournament of the season, I saw some good things," said sixth-year head coach Jill Rettinger. "Kim (Nissen) had an outstanding round in the morning with a five-over par round of 77. She slipped back a little bit in the afternoon round with an 81, but she is still in position to have a nice tournament."
The tournament is being played at the Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins. The course measures 6,036 yards and plays to a par of 72. The final 18-hole round will be played on Tuesday.
