The University of Wyoming women's golf team concluded two days and 54 holes of play at the Denver University Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday. UW struggled with difficult weather conditions during the final 18 holes and finished 13th of 16 teams after three rounds with 958 strokes. The University of San Fransisco won the tournament with a score of 908.

"The rain, wind and cold made it tough today," said UW head coach Jill Rettinger. "I feel bad for the girls because they had such momentum from yesterday."

Freshman Laura Mengelkamp had the best finish for Wyoming, placing 40th of 88 golfers overall after rounds of 74, 77 and 86. Freshman Lindsay Bauknecht placed 51st, while sophomores Whitney Hernandez and Michelle Camaione finished 61st and 63rd respectively. Senior Shala Hanson withdrew from the third and final round. Each team played five golfers and counted the four best scores.

The 54-hole DU Ron Moore Intercollegiate was played at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club. Highlands Ranch plays to a par of 72 and measures 6,225 yards.
