UW Remains in 17th place After Two Rounds of the Dick McGuire Invite

The University ofWyoming women's golf team is currently in 17th place aftertwo rounds of the Dick McGuire invite in Albuquerque, NewMexico. Still leading the tournament is New Mexico with ateam score of 576. Individual Leaders of the tournament areKailin Downs of New Mexico and Karin Sjodin of OklahomaState. Both girls have a total score of 138 which putsthem at eight-under par for the tournament.

Leading the way for the Cowgirls is freshman Kayla Morrisonwho knocked eight strokes off her first round score tofinish with a second round total of 78, giving her a 165 forthe tournament. Right behind Morrison with a score of 166is fellow freshman Michelle Camaione from Upland, Ca. Otherfinishers for the UW golfers were sophomore Bailey Adcock(170), junior Shala Hanson (171), and seinor Ashley Cariveau(171). UW finished the day by taking 12 strokes off theirfirst round score, and finishing the round with a 328. Thetotal team score thus far for UW is 668.

The Cowgirls will finish the three day tournament tommorowwith one more round of 18 holes. Tee time is set for 8:00a.m.
