The University ofWyoming women's golf team finished in 17th place at theDick McGuire Invite in Albuquerque, NM. The host team New Mexico won the three day tournament with a team score of 871. New Mexico's Kailin Downs took home the individual crown by shooting a seven-under par 212 for the 54-hole event.
Leading the Cowgirls was freshman Michelle Camaione whoshot a final round 83. Finishing two strokes behindCamaione was fellow freshman Kayla Morrison from St.Mary's, WV. Sophomore Bailey Adcock, junior Shala Hanson,and senior Ashley Cariveau all finished in a tie for 91st by posting tournament scores of 255. UW as a team finished the three day tournament with a score of 1004.
The tournament was played on the UNM Championship Course.The course measured 6,069 yards and played to a par-73. The Cowgirls will hit the links again on Monday as they will be playing in the Denver Pioneer Fall Invitational in Denver,Co.
