The University of Wyoming women's golf team finished competition today at the Heather Farr/CU Memorial Tournament in Broomfield, Colorado. San Jose State topped the 14-team field with a score of 587. San Jose State also took home the individual title with Carmina Calle firing a three-under-par 141. UW finished 14th, shooting 648 strokes over two rounds.
UW freshman Laura Mengelkamp and senior Shala Hanson scored final rounds of 78 to finish tied for 38th and 47th of 80 participants, respectively.
Each team played five golfers and counted the four best scores.
The 36-hole, two-day tournament was played at the Omni Interlocken Golf Club. The Omni plays to a par of 72 and measures 6,087 yards.
Wyoming next competes at the SDSU Lady Aztec Fall Classic, October 18-19, in San Diego, California.
