Athlete of the Week

What are your pre-game rituals?
"The night before I usually watch a bit of Harry Potter and then in the locker room before the game, we laugh, dance and listen to music."

How does it feel to shut out a team?
"Awesome! It makes me really proud of our goalie and our back line. Also, when we don't allow them many chances as well, it reflects how great our team played defensively."

Since it is your senior year, what will you miss most about the Wyoming Cowgirl Soccer team?
"All the little things: the fun juggling games before practice, the competition in soccer, tennis, traveling, hanging out and being silly with teammates."

What is your favorite memory of the Cowgirl Soccer team?
"Every day of this year has been my favorite because everything is so much more vivid and lively. I think it's because it's my last season."

What would you like to do after you graduate?
"Not worry about passing fitness tests in August!!"

In your four years here at Wyoming, have you ever missed the Arizona heat?
"Yes....every time it snows or I can't start my truck or I slip on ice, I miss the Arizona heat."

How did you get your name?
"Well, I was conceived there."

What is one thing that you cannot live without on a road trip?
"My blanket. Haha. My grandma made it for me the day I was born and I haven't left it since!"

If you could change one rule about soccer what would it be and why?
"Depending on who we are playing, I wish the field would be smaller. But other than that the game of soccer is perfect as is."

If you had the choice of running stadiums or maxing out in weights, which one would you choose?
"Neither...is that an option or can I make it one?"

Where is your favorite place to eat here in Laramie?
"That is a tough one...I love Jefferys and Corona Village Rapido."

What super hero's power would you most like to have?
"To be able to move things with my mind!!"

What is your favorite summer activity?
"BBQing and hanging out with teammates and friends in the park."

What is the worst weather you've had to play in?
"My sophomore year it was POURING in western michigan. There was so much rain that you had to hold your shorts up when you ran and your feet would sink into the ground a good four inches (that might be exaggerated)."

If you could give one piece of advice to new comers on the Cowgirl soccer team, what would it be?
"Play for your teammates and have fun! Sorry, that was two."
