Soccer Defeated By Gonzaga Bulldogs 4-0

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Wyoming at Gonzaga - Gonzaga 4-0 - Box Score

The Unversity of Wyoming Cowgirls were shut out by the Gonzaga Bulldogs in Spokane, Washington today 0-4 at Martin Field. The Cowgirls had only nine shots in the game, compared to eighteen shots taken by the Bulldogs. Junior forward Kelly McShane led the Cowgirl offense with four shots individually, while UW goalie Amanda Vandervort increased her totals by adding twelve saves to her already growing statistics. The Bulldogs were led offensively by Sara Streufert who had ten shots, three goals and one assist for Gonzaga. The four goals came at 9:40, 30:45, 32:55 and 73:15 for Gonzaga.

The Cowgirls next match up will be on Sunday, Sept. 12 versus Washington State at 12:00pm. Then they will take a week break and start again at home against Oral Roberts on Sept. 24 at 4:00 pm and Idaho State on Sept. 26 at 1:00 pm. Both games will be played at the UW Soccer Stadium.
