Soccer Struggles at BYU

A 6-0 loss to the BYU Cougars in Provo,Utah today dropped the University of Wyoming soccer team to a 2-10-3 recordoverall, and 0-3-2 in the Mountain West Conference.

Six different players scored for the Cougars, but Wyoming's defense heldthem off for the first 34 minutes of play. The Cougars' Kelly Hunsbergermade the first goal of the game at 34:29. After that, it continued to beall BYU. The Cougars attacked the goal with 39 shots in comparison withUW's three. Cowgirl goalkeeper Lori Scheider made ten saves inspite of thesix goals allowed.

The win gives BYU sole possession of the first place slot in the MWC withthe record of 10-6-1, 4-1-0 MWC.

Wyoming finishes up their regular season at home next week. On Fri., Nov.2 the Cowgirls host their final MWC opponent, Air Force Academy. Sun., Nov.4 the San Francisco Dons make their way to Laramie to make up the match thatwas postponed in September.
