LARAMIE, Wyo. - For the third consecutive year the Wyoming Cowgirl Soccer team has been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for their academic success during the 2009-10 season.

"Our women's soccer program continues to make great strides academically," Wyoming head soccer coach Danny Sanchez said. "We would especially like to thank our office of academic support, our academic coordinators, tutors and mentors for all their hard work."

Wyoming was one of 444 college women's soccer programs to be honored with at least a 3.0 team grade point average. The Cowgirl team recorded a 3.17 GPA during the 2009-10 season.

Two seasons ago the Cowgirls received their first ever award, and have now been awarded three consecutive years under Sanchez.
