LARAMIE, Wyo. -
Wyoming's Cowgirl soccer team has been honing their skills in preparation for the 2007 fall season, going 5-0 thus far in their spring exhibition season. Wyoming has outscored their opponents 20-3.
"We have had a good spring so far and we are happy with the way the girls have responded to the workouts in the off-season," UW head coach Anne Moore said.
"Even though we have small numbers, we have been playing hard and making big plays in key situations and scoring goals when we need to," Moore continued. "Our young players have been taking their games to another level and our redshirts are making strides as well. We have been scoring goals when we are behind and that has been a good sign for our team."
The Cowgirls will head to Colorado Springs this weekend, April 7, to face Colorado College and the Air Force Academy. The games are scheduled for 10:20 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. Mountain Time. The Cowgirls will head to Boulder, Colo. on April 14, to take on the University of Colorado and the Air Force Academy. Games will begin at 11 a.m. and noon Mountain Time.
