April 22, 2009

LARAMIE, Wyo. - The Wyoming Cowgirl soccer team concluded their 2009 spring schedule last weekend with an alumni game, awards banquet and mini tournament.

The spring included trips to Tempe, Ariz., Boulder Colo., as well as two events at home in Laramie. The two mini-tournaments included Northern Colorado, Colorado School of Mines, Regis University and Metro State College of Denver. On the road, the Cowgirls played Arizona, Arizona State, Air Force, Colorado, and Denver to finish the spring with a record of 5-2-3.

"We feel that we accomplished a lot this spring. We played great competition and we were able to see different players really advance their individual game," said head coach Danny Sanchez. "Although we were low on numbers this spring, the returning players were focused, worked hard, and are looking forward to the fall"
