LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The University of Wyoming’s College of Business hosted the 63rd annual Recognition Dinner on April 26 at the UW Conference Center and junior goalkeeper Alex Boehm was one of the many students to receive an award from the college. Students, faculty, parents, alumni and staff gathered to honor those from within the college for their excellence this past year.
Boehm, a Wilsonville, Ore., native and Saint Mary’s College transfer, received an Outstanding Student Award in business administration. Along with other upperclassmen she was recognized by the Department of Management and Marketing.
“Alex has shown a great amount of determination and ability to balance both academics and athletics,” Wyoming head coach Pete Cuadrado said. “It is the standard that we expect for future team members on and off the field. She is very deserving of this award from the College of Business.”
Boehm started 20 matches for the Cowgirls this past season. She made 69 saves for UW, which placed her sixth in the Mountain West to go along with four shutouts. In her first full season as a starter, her 1.43 goals-against average is fourth all-time for the Cowgirl program.
