LARAMIE, Wyo. -
University of Wyoming head women's soccer coach Anne Moore has announced that her team will hold a free mini skills clinic for youth, following the Cowgirl's first exhibition game.
The clinic, which will include an autograph session, will be held after Wyoming's game versus the University of Northern Colorado, on Saturday, August 21. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the UW Soccer Stadium. Both individual players and teams are welcome at the clinic.
"We are very excited about the start of our season," said Moore. "With this clinic we hope to get the community more involved with our program. We are hoping to do an event at every game, whether it be a half-time contest or a skills clinic, in order to get youth excited about soccer."
The Cowgirls will play a second home exhibition game against Mesa State University the following day, Sunday, August 22, at 1:00 p.m. Moore's team then begins their season on Friday, August 27 when they play Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. The first home match of the regular season for UW will be Wednesday, September 1, versus Denver University at 4:00 p.m.
