Cowgirls Get Shutout By Washington State Cougars 3-0

The Unversity of Wyoming Cowgirls were shut out for the second time this weekend by the Washington State Cougars today 0-3 at Cougar Soccer Stadium in Pullman, WA. Offensively the game was rather even for both sides with the Cowgirls having nine shots in the game, while eleven shots were taken by the Cougars. Junior forward, Kelly McShane led the Cowgirl offense once again with three shots individually, while freshman forward Sarah Stephens added two shots to the Cowgirl statistics. The Cougars were led offensively by Deka DeWitt who had six shots and two goals for Washington State. The three goals came at 13:22, 72:07, and 80:53 for the Cougars.

The Cowgirls will take a week break before matching up at home against Oral Roberts on Sept. 24 at 4:00 pm and Idaho State on Sept. 26 at 1:00 pm. Both games will be played at the UW Soccer Stadium.
