The University of Wyoming Cowgirl soccer team will finish the home portion of its season this weekend against the Boise State Broncos and the Utah State Aggies. The match against BSU will kick off on Friday at 3 p.m. MT, as the game against the Aggies will begin on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will be played at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex.

"We are excited to play at home," UW soccer head coach Pete Cuadrado said. "There is never an easy conference game. Boise State and Utah State are good teams, so we know that we are going to have our hands full."

Wyoming goes into the weekend with a 7-5-4 overall record and a 3-4-1 Mountain West record. The Cowgirls have been solid at home only losing two of the last 14 games at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. UW looks to improve its rank in the MW as they currently sit in seventh place as the top six teams move on to the MW tournament. Wyoming holds a 6-3-1 all-time record over the Broncos and a 3-4-2 record against the Aggies.

The Cowgirl defense has totaled seven shutouts on the season, matching the most in UW soccer history. Goalkeepers Georgia Rowntree and Cassidy Entsminger have tallied 60 saves on the year. Rowntree has recorded 33 saves as Entsminger has notched 27.

The Wyoming offense has scored 20 goals this season. Sophomore forward Shaina Ashouri leads UW in goals with eight on the year. Sophomore midfielder Kimmy Burbank has notched three goals. Forward Laurel Ramer, defender Alisha Bass and midfielder Annika Clayton have each tallied two goals. Freshmen defenders Taylor Burton and Alyssa Murray and sophomore midfielder Summer Halle each have a goal of their own.

A Look at the Broncos:

The Boise State Broncos will come into Laramie boasting a 4-4-0 MW record and a 6-8-3 overall record. Their conference wins came over San Diego State, UNLV, Nevada and Air Force. Boise State is led by Brooke Heidemann with six goals, five assists and 17 points on the year. The Broncos are 3-3-0 against Wyoming since joining the MW in 2010. However, the Cowgirls have not been defeated by BSU since the 2012 season.

A Look at the Aggies:

The Utah State Aggies hold a 9-7-1 overall record and a 4-4-0 MW record. They have conference wins over Fresno State, San José State, Air Force and Colorado College. The Aggies are led by Jessica Brooksby with 10 goals, two assists and 22 points on the season. Brooksby is first in the MW in goals and second in points. USU has not played in Laramie since the 2008 season where the Aggies beat the Cowgirls 2-1. Wyoming has not beat Utah State in the last five matches. The last victory came on Sept. 22, 2002, with a score of 1-0.

The gold rush game will be Friday against the Broncos. The first 150 fans will receive an exclusive soccer gold rush beanie. Sunday's match against the Aggies will be a Harvest Game where the first 100 fans will receive Poke mugs.
