LARAMIE, Wyo. -
After the first back-to-back 10 win seasons in school history, Cowgirl sophomores Shaina Ashouri and Alisha Bass were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division I All-Pacific Third Team. This is the first time each player has been selected to the team.
Ashouri, a native of Parker, Colo., earned her second postseason honor of the 2015 season, adding the NSCAA All-Pacific third team to her First Team All-Mountain West honors. She was the team leader in points for the Cowgirls helping the team to its first back-to-back 10 plus winning seasons in school history. She ended the season with 25 total points scoring nine goals and assisting on seven. She tied the school record for most points in a single season.
Bass, a native of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, also adds to her postseason award list. The NSCAA All-Pacific third team is her second postseason award. She was named MW Honorable Mention. She finished the 2015 campaign with five total points, scoring two goals and assisting on one other. She was a key part of the record-setting eight shutouts in one season.
