The Wyoming Cowgirl Tennis team closed out the weekend with a 5-2 loss to the Air Force Academy Falcons, on Sunday morning, in Colorado Springs . The Cowgirls fall to 7-10 overall and 0-4 in conference, while the Falcons improve to 12-11 overall and 2-5 in the MWC.
The day started off well for the Cowgirls as they won two of three doubles matches to take the point. The No. 2 team of Jen Hancock and Yuliani Santi earned an 8-4 victory over Heather Shelby and Kat Bushey while senior Kati Gyulai and freshman Megan Williams defeated Kelli O'Bryant and Jen Nigro, 8-4. At the No. 1 slot, Patricia Chien and Gwen Moser fell to Laura Nigro and Gina Black, 8-1.
Unfortunately, things didn't fair as well in singles play as only one Cowgirl came away with a win. Senior Kati Gyulai earned a two set victory over Kat Bushey, 7-5, 6-3. Laura Nigro opened up in the No. 1 spot with a close 7-6, 7-5 win over Patricia Chien.
