Kilmeny Waterman is in the midst of her second year of head coaching at the University of Wyoming. Last year, Waterman led the Cowgirls to an overall dual match record of 11 - 15, 3 - 4 in the WAC, in the program's first year of existence. Prior to coming to Wyoming, Waterman had been an assistant coach with the nationally ranked University of Kansas Jayhawks since 1993. In each of her four years at Kansas, the Jayhawks were ranked in the Top 30 in the NCAA and made it to the NCAA quarterfinals in 1994. Waterman also served as the Assistant Women's Tennis Coach at the City College of San Fransisco in 1990. She has extensive experience in conducting clinics, is a member of the USPTA, has served as a touring professional and worked as the Head Tennis Professional and Tennis Director at Harmon City Tennis Center in Prairie Village, Kansas.
Waterman was a varsity tennis player at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in physical education with a minor in french. She played at Trinity, 1984 - 88, where the team was ranked as high as fifth in NCAA Division I. Following college she played on the Women's Professional Circuit for three years, 1988-91, and held WTA world ranking as both a singles and doubles player.
