Wyoming went 1-2 over the weekendat the Jayhawk Classic in Lawrence, Kan. The Cowgirls defeated St.Louis while they lost to Drake and Louisiana-Monroe. On Friday, Wyomingfell to Drake 6-1. Sophomore Paulina del Monte was the only Cowgirl towin her match, defeating Melinda Fenimore 6-3, 7-6. Wyoming won itsmatch on Saturday defeating St. Louis 4-3. The dual was tied at threewhen del Monte won her No. 6 singles match to give Wyoming the victory.Against St. Louis the Cowgirls earned the doubles team point and hadvictories from Jenny Bowman and Angela Dossetor to go along with delMonte's clinching win. Sunday's match saw Wyoming lose toLouisiana-Monroe 4-3. Bowman, Sofi Espinosa and Jen Hancock all earnedteam points for the Cowgirls but it wasn't enough as UW lost a toughmatch.
