Weather Again Foils Wyoming Versus Northern Colorado Tennis

GREELEY, Colo. -

The Wyoming Cowgirls and Northern Colorado Bears tried to wrap up regular season play, on Monday afternoon, but could only manage to get in doubles matches before weather forced the cancellation of the match.

Weather had previously postponed the two teams' regularly scheduled match in Greeley on April 6.

Before the match was cancelled, the Cowgirls would win all three doubles matches. At the number one spot, the UW team of Andrea House and Karolina Rowinski defeated Karen Groll and Renee Nuccio, 8-5. Wyoming's Michelle Brown and Corina Lazar earned a tough 8-7 (7-4) win against Tabatha and Tiffany Knop, while Cowgirls Carolina Chaix and Jamie Nelson won 8-5 over Meredith Krystofik and Christina Shelly.

Wyoming will continue play this week at the MWC Championships beginning on Thursday, April 26, in Colorado Springs, Colo. They will take on the TCU Horned Frogs at 10:00 a.m.
