Cowgirls Fall To BYU In First Round of MWC Tennis Championships

The University of Wyoming women's tennis team lost to Brigham Young University 5-0 Thursday in the first round of the Mountain West Conference Tennis Championships, held in Ft. Collins, Colo.

Wyoming, which entered the tournament as the #8 seed, fell to the #1 seeded Cougars in straight matches. After BYU clinched the match, the remaining two singles matches were halted.

The Cowgirls will return to action on Friday against #5 seed Utah at 10:00 a.m. Utah lost to New Mexico 4-3 on Thursday.
