The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team wrapped up the weekend on Sunday at the UniWyo Cowgirl Invite in Laramie.

In the Gold singles draw, it was a great finish for the Cowgirls. Sarah Summerfield earned a three set win over teammate Alexandra Kovacs, 6-0, 3-6, 6-2, and then went on to win the bracket, 6-1, 6-1 over Rebecca Berger. Berger defeated her first opponent of the day, Caitlin Fluegge of Colorado State, 6-2, 6-4 before falling to Summerfield. In the back draw, Sa?a Nemcová earned a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Veronika Wojakowska of Colorado State.

In the Brown singles draw, Kim van Ginkel earned a 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 win over Carly Van Hollen and then defeated Sydney Bell of Northern Colorado 6-1, 6-4 to win the bracket.

In doubles play, Kim van Ginkel and Sa?a Nemcová defeated Paloma Navarro and Carly Van Hollen 8-6 in the championship match.

Wyoming will continue the fall play next weekend at the AFA Invite, Oct. 2-4, in Colorado Springs.
