Nov. 5, 2011

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -

In their second day of play at the Utah Invitational, the Wyoming tennis team had only two doubles teams compete.

The first doubles team of Sasa Nemcova and Alexandra Kovacs were defeated by Kovarcikova and Pham of Utah, 9-8, in their second round. Christa Gecheva and Alma Espinosa also lost in their second round match, 8-3, to Smith and Flores of Utah.

The Cowgirls had players competing in singles consolation action, but decided to leave early to beat the storm that was expected to start in Salt Lake City and the Front Range.

Wyoming will resume play in the spring hosting Northern Colorado on January 22 at 1:00 p.m.
